SOS Rhino : How can I help?

Donate to SOS Rhino: How you can help!

Individual donations are very important in our fight to save the critically endangered rhinoceros. We have estimated the cost of protecting the Sumatran rhinoceros in Borneo at $250,000 per year. Every contribution helps us toward our goal of conservation: protecting and propagating the species.

Our programs are particularly focused on the Sumatran rhino. This animal is a largely unknown species, unsupported by major wildlife organizations. That is why your donation is so important.

SOS Rhino's administrative costs are endowed allowing 100% of your contribution to directly support our Sumatran rhino protection, conservation and community outreach programs.

Online donations are handled using Paypal© secure online payment service or you can send checks or money orders via snail mail. Send check to SOS RHINO 680 N. Lake Shore Drive Suite 807, Chicago, IL 60611.

Adopt a Rhino

By adopting any one of the 300 rhinos still in existence, you're buying them time and hope for a future.

Protect a Rhino

Help to purchase equipment and supplies for our Rhino Protection and Survey Unit staff who patrol the rain forest and protect the Sumatran rhino.

Contribute toward a new vehicle or for maintenance, tires, and petrol for our existing vehicles.

As part of SOS Rhino's Community Outreach Program, our RPUs directly engage villagers in the effort to protect the rhinos and their habitat. Contribute to our efforts in establishing an eco-tourism project by purchasing materials that assist the villagers in constructing and maintaining chalets to be used by volunteers and tourists.

Adopt a Doc

Drs. M.S. Thayaparan and Nan Schaffer are dedicating their lives--often at great personal sacrifice--to the SOS Rhino Project. With you supporting their efforts, they will achieve their research goals faster and get these precious beasts off the endangered species list!
