The smuggling of wildlife through the open border of Nepal across the Indian forest is rising.
Poaching and smuggling had a massive impact two years ago, but now the situation has been controlled and the plan is being extended towards other wildlife sanctuaries. The illustrative example of Katarniaghat Sanctuary is that it now has a pair of rare white stags that were almost extinct.
