Two men allegedly caught hunting rhinoceros for the second time in less than a month were yesterday arraigned before a Nanyuki court.
Joseph Mwangi Kamau and Peter Maina Nderitu, both middle-aged, however, denied the charges of hunting the wild animals at Solio ranch in Laikipia District, before resident magistrate Esther Mbaya.
They were both denied bail.
The prosecutor, Inspector Francis Mburu, while objecting to the duo's bail application, said they were arraigned before the same court on April 20, on a similar offence.
Mburu claimed the suspects were working with a gang of others still at large and their release would interfere with investigations.
The accused, together with another not before the court, had appeared before the same court on May 4, for another case whereby they were charged with hunting and injuring a rhinoceros.
